Leveraging NEET (UG) 2024 result for MBBS Admission in Dream Medical College

NTA will conduct NEET UG 2024 on 5th May 2024 between 2-5.20 PM. On the same day or next day, leading coaching centres will release their solutions to the NEET (UG) question paper. The candidate will be able to approximate their NEET marks on the basis of these solutions.

Please note that there will be variation in the answers released by coaching centres and provisional answer keys which will be release later by NTA. The answer keys released by coaching centres can not be relied as 100% correct.

NEET (UG) 2024 Result Announcement Date

NTA may declare the NEET (UG) 2024 result by 15th June 2024. About 5- 7 days before the official declaration of NEET UG Results, the National Testing Agency will upload the Provisional Answer Keys, Scanned Images of OMR Answer Sheet and Recorded Responses for NEET (UG) – 2023 on the website https://neet.nta.nic.in/ for candidates to challenge.

To facilitate the candidates, a scanned image of the OMR Answer Sheet is also sent on the registered e-mail address given by the Candidates at the time of submission of the Online Application Form of NEET (UG) 2024. The candidate can calculate their NEET marks through mapping of official answer key and OMR answer sheet.

Candidates are also given an opportunity to make an online challenge against the provisional Answer Key by paying a non-refundable processing fee per answer. Candidates can also submit representation against the OMR grading by paying a non- refundable processing fee per question.

Important information about NEET (UG) 2024 results

NEET (UG) 2024 score card will contain the subject wise percentile score and mention the All India Rank of the candidate. AIR will be used for seat allotment process through medical admission counselling. Besides AIR, there will also be a mention of category rank on the score card which has no relevance for medical admission counselling.

How to check NEET UG results

The candidates will receive their All India Rank and NEET score through an SMS on their registered mobile number and email ID. Kindly note that email message or mobile SMS is not the NEET (UG) 2024 score card.

The score card will be available for download from ntaresult (https://ntaresults.nic.in/resultservices) website. NTA will publish the link to download the NEET UG 2024 scorecard on the website https://neet.nta.nic.in

The candidates can download and print their NEET UG 2024 result on the published link by entering their NEET UG 2024 application number and date of birth.

The candidate must download and save the PDF of score card as this score card will be required for upload during registration for state medical admission counselling.

NEET (UG) result statistics

  • Over 2.2 million students are expected to appear in NEET UG 2024.
  • Out of them, approx 56% students will be declare qualified for NEET UG 2024.
  • The qualifying criteria for General and EWS candidates is 50th percentile.
  • The qualifying criteria for PH and Non PH OBC, SC, ST candidates is 40th percentile.
  • The qualifying criteria for General/ EWS PH candidates is 45th percentile.
  • The NEET qualifying marks range will depend on difficulty level of NEET UG 2024 exam.

Next step after NEET (UG) 2024 results

The students must participate in the common counselling for admission in MBBS, BDS seats in government, private and deemed medical colleges of India. They must be aware of the fact that there is NO direct admission in any clinical program in India. The students must participate in counselling conducted by MCC and/or state counselling authority.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India will conduct the Counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats, Deemed Universities, Central Universities, Seats of ESIC and AFMC, BHU and AMU. Candidates may visit the website www.mcc.nic.in for further information.

For State quota and other seats falling under the ambit of States, candidates may apply to their domicile States and merit list as per State rules, based on All India Rank, will be prepared by concerned Counselling Authorities. The counselling for Private Medical Colleges will also be conducted by the concerned State Counselling Authority.
